Nitron By Meteor. These Nitron NTR1 46mm Pro dampers are the next evolution of our recent successful 1 Way adjustable dampers for Caterham 7. Valved specifically to our requirements based on driving experience they are now available for al Lotus Elise customers.

Similarly to our Caterham 7 set up we have re worked the regular Nitron damping rates to provide our own prefered ride and responsiveness. We have continued to improve the NTR1. As we have our own Suspension Dyno we have been able to further investigate and develop the NTR1 damper to its current specification to suit the Lotus Elise.
The advantage of the 46mm Pro specification is greater oil capacity resulting in greater control and adjustability. Running at cooler oil temperatures the damper is also more stable.
We have two different valve combinations available.
The first option is our newest iteration that draws on our most recent experience and is the softer more road orientated set up.
The second option can be selected if most driving is completed on track by more powerful cars and those which perhaps use slick tyres.
We will advise you on our recommendation when you call to discuss the options.
The price includes a full set of springs in either the Nitron Blue or our own graphite/gun metal colour – you choose.
All dampers will be dyno tested. We do charge more for our set up than the list price however it has been proven to be worth the additional cost for the increased service level and attention to detail.
The NTR 46mm Race shocks have competed in hundreds of races and benefit from a decade of evolution. Run on the original factory GT3 Exiges, these shocks have been honed to perfection and use Nitron’s very best parts combined with an unrivalled development program.
Using the superior 46mm piston; this kit is designed for serious use and has been adopted (where regulations permit) in almost every Lotus race series around the world. The kit comprises four 1-way adjustable dampers with fitted springs. The single adjuster knob affects both bump and rebound for simple setup with a road-biased spec. These shocks are designed to run inverted for reduced unsprung mass and therefore optimum performance. Dampers are delivered preset with a full compliment of bearing spacers ready to fit to the car.
Meteor do not have “standard” spring specification. We like to discuss the exact use with our customers and make a recommendation from the information provided. The kit comes with helper springs front and rear with increased rear wheel droop for extra cornering grip.
